We had our first rain last night. It's time to light our fireplace soon, it's getting quite chilly in the house. Who wants to drink hot chocolate and snuggle up next to the fireplace with me? Maybe even roast some marshmellows =D

So, today while I waited for my eye appointment at Costco, I roamed the book section and I started to read this book:

....which I was though was pretty intriguing for its first few pages. Since I've been wanting to read a book for the longest time, I decided to just go and buy it. And the quote "America's #1 bestselling author, James Patterson, delivers the most haunting thriller of his career" isn't bad either. But I should have figured every book will write that because on Amazon.com, it apparently is worthy of only 2 stars. Bummer, I spent 16 bucks on this hard cover book. Oh well, it's good so far.
....anyway, bad news, my eyes are in bad condition. "You are wearing the worst possible contacts ever, it gives your eyes no oxygen!" says my optometrist. So, my eyes are swollen and I need glasses asap and I have to wear them for two weeks and put special eye drops during that period of time before I can switch back to contacts.

My Comprehensive Exam Review for the Pharmacy Technician book came today from Amazon.....and there is no cd-rom in it. I'm so mad, because that's where all the practice exams are. ><
And yes, I'm trying to get my Pharmacy Technician License in Nov =D

God help me...I have lost the motivation to study becuase I have a test on monday fro biochem, a final for Genetics on thursday, and final for biochem on Friday. How the hell will I be able to pull this off?

So I like to listen to instrument music whilst I study. Today, several pieces later, I hear Enya- Lothlorien which now brings me back to last month. I was home for the summer, and on one particular day, my mother and I went to visit my grandpa's gravesite. His gravesite is inside this marble building in the section of cremetories. Now this cemetary is gorgeousss, called Piedmont's Mountview Cemetary (also where Black Dahlia is buried =)), so I enjoy going there once in awhile to gaze at the beautiful gardening and such. Anyway, back to Enya. So we reached the top floor of where my grandpa is. My mom does her ritual cleansing of the case, at that moment, something lured me into the hallway adjacent of my grandpa's case that has caskets inside each surrounding wall. I kept walking as my mom called my name asking me where I'm going, I shushed her and continued walking because just then, I realized Enya-Lothlorien was being played faintly in the background of this hallway.....creepy. Im not quite sure if I consider this piece of music smoothing anymore, it reminds of this experience everytime its played on my ipod.

I have this undying urge to lay on my bed right now and open up a good ol' mystery/romance novel and enjoy reading for once. Maybe it has to do with the mere fact that I can't read a sentence nowadays without having it consist of nothing but DNA, replication, RNA polymerase, 5'-->3' end AKA Genetics. I pry my eyes open to take in another one of these terms. About 3 more weeks, and this lifestyle will be over for a month. I have never ever studied this much in my entire life. I literally study at least 7 hours a day and I still somehow manage to be slightly behind. Yawn, I know, it makes me wonder too. Welp, at least I know I can study that much if I'm willing too, I should really continue this next quarter, maybe I'll actually do well.

Since I'm rambling on, I might as well continue. Not like anyone really uses this anyway lol. I'm just taking a break from reading, Anyhoo, I have come to enjoy the campus very much this summer. I don't have time to exercise, so I  have decided, for the sake of my health, that I would walk everywhere and anywhere carrying a 30 pound bag filled with text books along the way. I haven't taken the bus once so far, not even routes where I only walk uphill for about 20 minutes. I would turn on my ipod, crank up whatever it is that I have the urge to hear at the moment, and live my favorite part of the day. At times I find myself gazing into the sky (and nearly tripping most of the times as I do), and doze off into a state of tranquility. Sometimes I find myself looking behind the trees curious to see which animal or rather insect is lurking behind it making that awkward ruffling noise. All in all, by the time I get to my car/class, beads of sweat are rolling down my forehead. Gross, but the best part of it is I was too distracted with the wonderful beauty of nature that I didn't feel one tint of exhaustion. This, my friend, you can only get from the one and only UC Santa Cruz campus. =D
Anyway I'm done advertising, I guess back to studying?
